The Bullet 5.56 Name

We did not want to stop producing our standard Bullet road bike, which will still be available with mechanical groupsets, but instead create a new Bullet variant.

All our bike models have followed the names of projectiles or fast jets, so we wanted to stay on theme. In the 1980s the British military moved from a 7.62mm bullet to a 5.56mm bullet for their preferred small arms calibre. Nonetheless, the 7.62mm bullet remains in use to this day, however, the 5.56 is considered the ‘go to’ calibre for the majority of Western militaries.

Custom by LIOS

Colours | Components | Wheels | Finishing Kit | Fitted to You | Exclusivity

What is Custom?

"Like a bespoke tailor will measure you for a suit, we do that for your bike."

By going custom with LIOS you have complete autonomy to pick and choose your colours, components, wheels and finishing kit, but most importantly the bike is built to you. If you’re purchasing a bike you should ensure the bike fits you. An accurate bike fit is the most important factor for optimal efficiency, performance and comfort on the bike. At LIOS we care about ensuring the bike is built around your biomechanics, but also with an eye on your goals and aspirations.

How does Custom Work?

1. Discuss your Ideas

The first step is to get in touch in order to discuss your ideas. It may be that you want a complete one off bike, or you may just want to tweak the specification on one of our standard LIOS models. Once your requirements are confirmed, we will provide a detailed quote outlining every component and specification. This is an iterative process and we may go back and forth a couple of times whilst you refine your requirements.

2. Measurements

Once you’ve confirmed the specification and colours, we will then ask you for a number of body measurements. This will enable us to select the correct frame for you.

3. Bike Build

We hold good quantities of components, so can often turn your bike around in very quick order.

4. Bike Fit and Collection

The most efficient way to identify the right position for you is in a dynamic format. To do that we utilise Retül Technology, which is a 3D motion-capture bike fitting system designed to provide highly accurate and comprehensive bike fit data. This is included in the price of your LIOS bike.

The Retül system records your position while you’re in motion on the bike and accounts for all three planes of movement (3D). By considering your goals and aspirations, your individual biomechanics, your strengths and of course your limitations, the system provides us with accurate, data-driven decisions to ensure the bike is fine-tuned to your biomechanics.

5. Ride in Style®

Geometry & Sizing

We take the guess work out of the sizing process, as we assess your flexibility, bionechamincs and take all your body measuremenets, then you have a Retül 3D motion analysis bike fit, all of which is included in the price of the bike. Nonetheless, the table below outlines the geometry.
