Podcast Interview with Steve McCulley
Steve's fascination for bikes started way back when he built his first one at just eight years old. Cruising into his teens, he was tearing up mountain bike trails all around the country. But then life had other plans – Steve joined the Royal Marines, globetrotting from Northern Ireland to Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Steve was interviewed by Alex Chisnall, the host of the 'Screw It Just DO It' podcast, where he looks to answer one simple question:
How do you get to where you want to be?
He chats to inspirational entrepreneurs, sports stars and entertainers who took the leap. They became the people they wanted to be. They did what they always wanted to do.
Alex is fascinated by human potential. He loves taking his guest's experiences, plus things he has learnt along the way to help others get to where they want to be.
His show is in the top 1% of all podcasts globally, listened to in 180+ countries.
Steve talks about his journey into the Marines, then came 2011, a year that changed everything. An IED explosion left him very severely injured, but he bounced back with a 'never say die' attitude.
During his rehabilitation, Steve founded LIOS Bikes, the go-to brand for custom carbon and titanium bikes.
Now, Steve's taken on a number of roles – entrepreneur, racing driver and motivational speaker. His journey - from Battlefield to Business - is a testament to resilience and passion.
